Providing Everything You Need

logo1.jpg

As a parent or carer, you know your child better than anyone, and your involvement is essential in supporting their growth and development.

I am committed to working closely with you every step of the way, ensuring that you are actively engaged and consulted throughout all aspects of the psychological work. Your consent will always be sought before any work with your child begins, and I will keep you informed at every stage.

Initial referral and planning meetings are free, providing an opportunity to discuss your child’s needs and how we can best support them together. After the assessment and advice have been provided, I am always available to answer any questions, address concerns, or discuss the next steps.

As an Educational Psychologist I offer consultation, assessment, observation, individual and group and therapeutic work.  Through gathering information, applying psychological theory and practice I will identify areas of strength and difficulty within your child’s individual profile.  I will provide up-to-date, relevant and evidence-informed recommendations and psychological advice to help them to overcome barriers to learning and/or social and emotional wellbeing. A detailed written report will be provided within  3 weeks or less from the time of assessment.

I can also accompany you to multi-agency assessment, planning or review meetings with your child’s school or Local Authority to highlight the outcomes of the assessment and provide advice on the types of support structures and teaching and learning strategies which may be implemented at home and school in order to develop your child’s areas of strength and difficulty and promote positive outcomes.
